Dell Axim X3 Review - Part 2 - Using Wi-Fi

When the Wi-Fi in Dell Axim X3 is working the left part of the antenna is glowing:



Here is the hardware button for switching on and off of the Wi-Fi wireless connectivity in the Dell Axim X3:



The same symbol of Wi-Fi can be found on the right side of the protuding antenna:



At the beginning, after pressing the hardware Wi-Fi button, the Wi-Fi network is being switched on:



And here you can observe switching the Wi-Fi off, after pressing the hardware Wi-Fi button (when it was switched on previously):



You can observe on the picture above that in the right bottom corner of the screen the Wi-Fi indicator showed up and in the title screen the 2 arrows indicate now that connection is switched on.

Please note that after switching the Wi-Fi on by hardware button, you can switch on and off the Wi-Fi by tapping on the connection arrows in the title bar:



Dell provides additional program for Wi-Fi connectivity - the "Dell WLAN Utility":



... that has, as you can observe above, several interesting functions like "Ping":



In case you would be interested in saving battery during Wi-Fi usage, you can set it in this dialog:



All in all using Wi-Fi in Dell Axim X3 with an integrated Wi-Fi is a bliss. Itīs very fast and pleasant.
