About how to add date to home screen layout

To be honest the easiest way is for you to hack it in yourself . Connect to your device via ActiveSync, and open the explorer window to browse the files. Go into the \windows directory and copy the file called full.home.xml to your desktop. Rename it to something like full_date.home.xml. Then, open it in Notepad.

You need to make two changes. The first is to change the name of the layout that shows up in the control panel, so you can tell your layout apart from the others.

And change it to:

Save the file, copy it down to your device, and use the control panel to change to it. You might have to mess with the 120 number above, I was just guessing at it. You may find that you have to add or subtract it to make the date show up in the best place horizontally.
