Samsung i300 has no Windows Mobile 5.0 so don't buy it! Samsung i300 has no Wi-Fi, so don't buy it! Author of this review obviously not only is biased because he is (undeservedly) a Microsoft MVP but also because ...

This website is talking trash, so don't don't buy it! He tries to hard to sound important, so don't buy it! [The] Author of this review [of this review] (is) obviously not only biased because he is (deservedly) [not] a Microsoft MVP but also because it looks like he [could not buy his way into a champagne room either]. He is blind to the obvious limitiation of [his negativity, in that only dim-witted weenies like him]. His greatest accomplishment is getting more intelligent people to become infuriated at his repetitive and ignorant comments and write in-- (which is clearly a weakness) on my part.

This [comment] is not clear enough in saying MSMobiles is the three-old kid of the gadget sites--trying to fit in with all the big boys, but crying to whoever will listen when nobody shares the ball with him. If you will ignore overly pesimistic text, you can enjoy the site for what it is--nothing special!

Just because somebody received (a) yet unreleased unit for review [and you didn't] doesn't mean that nobody likes you--that's just a product of not being an MVP. Somebody should uncritically review (anything) and post it here--so you can see how it's done, even if it is against (the) interests of most users...

I disagree strongly with hummeriah. I'm very satisfied with the msmobile blog since I'm really hacked off with the amount of shoddy hardware being released at the moment and I'm glad that there is a site out there which shares my frustration, publishes on it, and gets attention.

You are talking absolute xxx. MSMobiles is the only site to offer the latest win mobile devices, latest pocket pc and smartphone software, the best blog for the latest win mobile developer news including links to conference streams and code snippets, a great place to spread the word about your new software which is always welcomed very kindly. For anyone who is actively developing in the windows mobile market they find this site very special indeed.

I have enough of this bashing of msmobiles.com ! If you don't like it then don't visit it! msmobiles.com is the only site that provides many unique information - earlier than others, or information not to be found at other sites.

If you don't like it, then don't visit it. I will not allow that anonymous people will be bashing msmobiles.com here. If you want to bash msmobiles.com then do it on other websites.

Any comments on the topic - i.e. here: Samsung i300 - are welcome. But off-topic bashing I will not tolerate (and I removed the messages with bashing).

Strange, I thought you just removed your lies and hypocracy and my pointing out that they were lies and hypocracy. Oh well, each to their own.

And I disagree with you. Unbiased reporting, or negative comments with justification are very helpful. Personal attacks against individuals because they are either an MVP or they give a positive review to a Symbian phone is reminiscent of 3-year-old behavior. And MSMobiles, in their infinite "reporting" skill, left out the one distinguishing feature of the i300: 3 Gb storage space. How's that for helping out the reader base (by hiding valuable information)? Confused

Still, I keep coming back here to read re-hashed articles that were posted by Engaget (a real reporting group with constructive criticism as appropriate), read about obscure software, or to hear about another phone that can't run Skype. It's like a train wreck here: It too horrible to look at, but you can't stop looking. Laughing

kupe, you are liar! msmobiles.com has many unique information pieces and publishes most stories ahead of Engadget. Please note also that Engadget was linking to msmobiles.com several times indicating, thus that original information is available at msmobiles.com.

Generic websites like Engadget are also covering Windows Mobile phones very superficially while msmobiles.com covers them in depth.

Please note also that msmobiles.com reporters are going to tradeshows, including 3GSM (the biggest about cellphones) and very few websites go to so many tradeshows.

So you kupe are totally wrong and I advice you to stop lying immediately!!! ... or I will have to ban you from this forum and delete your posts!

msmobiles just want to discourage people not use Windows Mobiles by over saying the negative side. Furthermore, it also delete the one who is against this site or say the truth. It always do which is its logo.
This phone is first 3 gig hard disk, flash storage, good quality sound, good brand image and strong marketing. So, if Sumsung is successful, it will hit the mass market for the first time which O2 could not.
This is what msmobiles is afraid of.
so, they tried to discourage Sumsung as much as they can.
msmobiles are not a gentlemen..if they want to hit Window mobiles, just tell the truth, not pretend to love it.
Unesco pretends to love democracy but what they did is not. They just want to attack American interest. That is what the purpose. Same to msmobiles, They just pretend to love Windows but what they did is not and always delete the opinion that is against them...

I'm always bemused by the apparent anti-WM2003 agenda. Just because there is a newer version, it doesn't mean it is no longer a valid choice.

1. WM2003 has a MUCH larger software base than WM5
2. WM2003 has a smaller footprint than WM5 so hardware requirements are generally less and thus prices lower
3. WM2003 actually *does* offer the functionality that most PDA users need.
4. WM2003 IS still supported by Microsoft
5. WM2003 is NOT obsolete.

There are many valid business cases for not using the latest software. I'm consulting for one of the biggest banking companies in the world. All of their (100,000+) desktop PCs use Windows NT 4. For their purposes, the TCO is lower than Windows XP.

My car has a petrol engine. OLD TECHNOLGY, DO NOT BUY.
My desk is made of oak. OLD TECHNOLGY, DO NOT BUY
My cat is organic. OLD TECHNOLGY, DO NOT BUY

That's simply not true...the end of the review says...
Quote:
is the device worth to buy with an outdated operating system? In my humble opinion it is and the combination of hardware, look & feel and utilities and tools it makes it a worth buy.

The opening sentence of this "review" reads
Quote:
Samsung i300 has no Windows Mobile 5.0 so don't buy it!

I use the word "review" very lightly. Normally, a review requires
1) to at least have used the device
2) to properly evaluate it
3) to consider how most people intend to use it
4) to report on all the noteworthy points

OK, so "review" is totally the wrong word Laughing
