There is a way of specifying what type of data connection to use if you want to avoid the 3g dropout, under phone
settings you can specify band, So you can totally disable the 3G radio altogether if you want. This function is part of the OS.

Looking at the KSE site I am annoyed no fax program yet works on this device.

I wondered why I was not getting 3G service on my phone. Then realised taht I turned it off under phone settings whilst abroad.

Yes you are right. I glanced at that menu before but it didnt occur to me that you could disable 3G from there Embarassed

Can any of the lucky owners check to see if MessagEase runs on it? http://www.exideas.com Here is a picture of it from their website:


It provides a complete onscreen keyboard which may be easier to use without opening the phone.
