Since HP is little more than a brand that is placed on HTC manufactured devices, one cannot say that HP is actually "working" on Microsoft Smartphone device, but it could be that it will start offering one soon:

| Having HP onboard is the correct thing to do as the MS Smartphone platform NEEDS proper brands like HP to compete with the likes of Nokia and SE. Samsung and Motorola haven't been moving in the right direction and are slow in product releases. They also do not commit themselves onto Windows Mobile. |

I agree, however we need smartphones with UMTS - Symbian has several phones with UMTS. Sometimes it is brand recognition but sometimes it is technology. Symbian has both and Windows Mobile none...  |
