If you are an owner of HTC Magician Pocket PC phone, i.e. i-mate JAM, T-Mobile MDA Compact, Orange SPV M500, etc. - then we have good news for you: to enjoy stereo audio streaming over Bluetooth you don't need to b...

| I tried the motorola headset but the neckband is not adjustable which causes the speakers not to be placed correctly on my ears. This has an effect that music quality is not as good as it could be, especially the bass. |

Yes, you are right that it is not adjustable but this lack of adjustability improves durability.
Please try to move the handle that holds headphoens together lower, to your neck like this:
... and this may help.
Anyway: all Bluetooth stereo headsets are interoperable so the one from Logitech for example will work fine too with HTC Magician with this A2DP extension (stereo audio streaming over Bluetooth). |

| I don't like having those big headphones on my ears...how long do you think it'll be before they start selling the buds like the ones with the ipods and most small MP3 players? Now those are the best! And if those were bluetooth they would simply pwn all headphones! |

good point! how long? nothing! actually I have seen already in a retail shop (brick and mortar) a stereo Bluetooth headset consisting of:
a) regular 3.5 mm in-ear headphones with cable
b) a small Bluetooth receiver/transmitter that has also microphone and buttons to make phone calls and play music.
It was costing about 80 Euro and was no-name (or low-brand name) - so I can't find it on the Internet now... but rest assured - such solution already exists from at least one vendor and certainly more are coming.
I agree that these bigger headsets are sometimes not usable (for example when it rains or the air is wet, etc) and in-ear tiny headset is then better. However since it has a small cable between headphones and the transmitter/receiver - it defeats a little bit whole idea of "wire free" headset... |

Hmmmmmm you sure you are providing a link to freeware? This BT stack or BT add-on has been developed by an independent company to work with their BT headphones on the Magician.
Most of the available downloads on XDA-developers are not freeware or shareware. |

I don't have such problems and I have 2 various stereo headsets that I use.

"providing a link" is not illegal under any condition and in any country.
anyway soon all Windows Mobile 5.0 devices will have A2DP and then this extension will become obsolete and forgotten. |

I am using a similar (the same?) addon for WM5 on the Himalaya. Its working but when comparing with Widcomm A2DP implementation (also tested on Himalaya with PPC2003) its poor...
-sound quality seems worse than with Widcomm
-some mp3 don't work
-only mp3 works (maybe wma and wmw too?)
-only windows media player
Widcomm
-all audio is routed to the headset (also clicks with the stylus!)
But hey, I don't want to spoil the joy here, at least A2DP comes to the most popular Windows mobile device
Regards,

cool list however I am not sure that it is reliable: for example I know for sure that ROKR doesn't have A2DP .... but you list it as a phone with A2DP. |

The ROKR E2 is listed as compatible. I think you mistake it with the first ROKR, the E1. _________________ http://www.robertwebbe.nl/A2DP.html |

You wouldn't happen to have a listing on which of these devices are AVRCP compatible as well would you? |
