java a "retro" language, what a load of garbarge. I like your site for news on new products, but some of your opinions are laughable!

.NET is only copy of some things from Java world. But today Java is much different, evolution of java continues. Yes, you can say using of J2ME applications on PocketPC is retro, its true, because such applications are for small devices with poor resources, mobile phones and so. BUT, do you about eSWT, Eclipse SWT for mobile devices?! With web services a J2ME or J2SE implementation you can NOW create great applicattion clients for your enterprise server, clients for all platforms, from mobile phones and PDA to desktop, from windows and mac to unix. Rich Internet Banking application for example, with advanced security methods as digital signature.

No, the webmaster seems to ignore that, along with the fact that approximately all mobile phones released after 2003 can run MIDP applications, while not even 10% of the phones on the market today support .Net (the fun part being that of course these very phones can run MIDP applications with a pretty good JVM). Talk about retro Smile
