| Talk about missing the boat. I was an avid Avantgo user several years ago. When I first started using MS Smartphones a year ago this would have come in handy. By now though the prices on Unlimited data have become much more afordable, rendering this type of service almost obsolete. Am I alone in this thinking? |

you are not alone - and I agree that AvantGo missed the boat by not releasing the AvantGo for MS Smartphone 2 years ago.
However note that in Europe (apart from Germany and Eastern Europe) there is no flat rate mobile Internet access and still mobile access is very expensive - and for these people AvantGo really is a good solution. |

This is not a WM5 release, just a minor update. The prior version also ran on WM5 (I am using it). Avantgo sync via AS still doesn't work. _________________ JNGold

I've totally dropped them ever since RSS aggregator apps came out for the Pocket PC such as NewsBreak, Egress, and now my favorite, pRSSreader. Also, other programs such as WebCopier and SunnySoft World off-line came in very handy back then.
They started to slap down too many limitations, like the number of pages to cache, customized links, number of channels, etc. At the same time, I went with a Phone Edition, so I was no longer syncing at my desk, and it was much easier to just grab the information I want as I select it. _________________ Bubble Buster Advanced
