802.11g Wi-Fi known also "the G" not only brings faster transfer speeds (54 megabit/second compared to 11 megabit/second in "b" version) but also higher transfer quality and usability. Usually most public Wi-Fi ...

| Too bad it's a CF card. Almost no new systems use CF cards now, and only a handful (pun intended) were ever built powerful enough to use this kind of bandwidth. Someone at Socket needs to do better market studies. |

802.11g is NOT ONLY about higher bandwidth but about higher reliabilit (quality of service).
Besides: you are wrong: the top notch Pocket PC PDAs from HP and Dell not only have VGA display but also CF slot... so indeed several new PDAs now on sale still use CF. |

Its actually the bus speed thats the bottle neck. The bus speed on PDAs isnt fast enough for 802.11b at 11mbits, never mind g.
Try duplicating a file in RAM on a pocket pc 2003. You'll see its slower than 11mbits/s. |

Have 802.11g SD cards been manufactured yet?
Even though the Pocket PC's can't handle the speed they are required to connect to (corporate) networks running g only (as opposed to mixed mode) networks. |
