We were reporting lately that Motorola Q smartphone had been cancelled, so let's take a second look at this "cancellation situation", and let see what Jason Gordon from Motorola:
... has to say about it:

| Amazing what 3 minutes of research can yield, isn't it? By the way, did you read on the web that the msmobiles web address renewel has been cancelled because they continuously post falsified information? No? Well that's what I heard so it must be true. |

| is this is true, i can never understand why it's always smartphones or communicators that are always cancelled. it's a fast growing segment in the mobile/pda industry and big manufacturers like motorola can't seem to hit the bulls-eye. |

smartphones have more chance to be cancelled than regular phones because they cost more money to develop, etc - so if they would flop, then company would lose more money
anyway Motorola has cancelled already many phones, including Motorola MPx and Motorola MPx100 and Motorola, unlike Apple, is announcing a lot of products and then cancelling some of them (iTunes was announced in Motorola V3x and then V3x was shipping without iTunes) ...

kupe, in the first news item, msmobiles.com has not invented the story - but passed along the story that was written by French website - that they got from Motorola France.
renewal of web address can't be blocked by anybody else than the owner of the domain, so you must be realy desperate if you invent such lame lies... |

...from which you concluded the following:
| msmobiles incorrectly wrote: | | Nothing is certain yet and we are rather in rumor phase, but it looks like Motorola has not found mobile operators willing to sponsor launch of Moto Q. |
Which was incorrect when you wrote it - something you already knew (from earlier posts on this web) - which can only mean you either lied about what you knew or you have a significant case of short term memory loss (you can remember all the way back to 12 January can't you?).

Well, duh! Looks like your short term memory loss is also manifesting itself as witless - you don't see much sarcasm, do you? See how stupid it sounds for me to use one (alleged) web announcement to draw a silly conclusion? I didn't think you did. |

Verizon (Largest US CDMA) operator,
Is pushing for an April release at its earliest. Motorola is going to release a couple hundred devices for internal user testing. The phone will launch with AKU 2.2. Motorola can't wait to get this out so they are pushing very hard on it. I bet it has more to do with getting it out with AKU 2 out as much as any other testing delays. Especially if you want to market anything as Blackberry killer you will definitely need push email. This is from a Verizon data manger that gives me updates on data devices from Verizon.
Besides why would believe anything coming from the French? I guess this is what news has turned into. Say anything so that you can say you were the first to say it. _________________ Trinergy |

One thing is sure ! I don't trust Motorola anymore.. They always announce lots of new stuff but they never come to the market.. and even if they come, it's for a short period (see MPx 220).. except for the Razr, their best seller, Motorola has produced only xxx this last years, and even those xxx were only for show and not for sale...
Motorola sucks... |

Amen to that - Moto is long on marketing and short on engineering. |
