OK, it must be ROM dependent then too!
Of course you didn't forget to make reset of the phone ? (not just switch on/off but reset) |

Soft Reset by SW option and checked that settings are still there. _________________ ------------

Some corrections to offer:
"Previously"
"...also in the HTC Universal (Ora..."
I think the latter is more important, but people who see the image will figure it out. _________________ Bubble Buster Advanced

There's no such thing as a 802.11g only router on sale, what you can do is to configure it to accept only g clients.
The TI ACX chipset doesn't support 802.11g, please stop this noncense. This chipset is used in almost every PDA out there that's 802.11b. |

| Does this trick makes the device's wi-fi 802.11b speed to become 802.11g? Or does it juz make the device to regconise wi-fi 802.11g network? I truly wondered about how can juz a simple registry tweak can upgrade the wi-fi 802.11b module hardware to 802.11g. Sounds quite impossible to me. |

|

I could not find the device under the same registry string as documented.
Found my wireless under tiacxwln1, suggesting the listed fix may relate to newer models may have a newer wlan card. My unit is a T-mobile MDA pro given to me around November.
Amended the registy settings and connected to a 54g router.
Did seem faster and have discovered more networks at my office today.
Still to establish if it is 54G or not.
On another note looks like T-mobile uk may be readying a rom upgrade, lots of activity on their ftp site last week. Half of the URL's I use to have to official upgrades and firmware for T-mobile uk devices dont work anymore. |
