The lack of EDGE kills it for me. I'd rather get an O2 XDA Atom instead - it might not have a TV tuner (just an FM tuner), but at least that one has EDGE.

Speaking of TV tuners, there's one thing truly bothers me about the gSmart/Bond phone. TV tuners are known to suck the battery dry out of devices. A TV tuner add-on was just announced/released for the Pocket PC, and it accompanied a required battery that was nearly the size of the Pocket PC it's connecting to. Mobile, but hardly practical.

So, it's very shocking that the standard battery in the gSmart is only 840mAh... nearly half or a third less than other Windows Mobile devices WITHOUT a TV tuner. An optional (or additional) 1300mAh battery is also mentioned in their site, but still...

Unless they figured out something many other manufacturers don't, the TV feature will be a novelty that will soon wear off since it would kill the battery in minutes.

Let's just hope this device isn't DOA when it hits the market.

no, it uses Windows Mobile 5.0 with AKU 2.0 , not 2002.

but you are right: lack of fast cellular interfaces like CDMA EVDO or most importantly UMTS and HSDPA is the main disadvantage of Windows Mobile phones...

Is MSFP confirmed on this device, i.e. has anyone received Exchange push email on this device, or is it just a rumor?
