Very bad design in that input technique. No one would drop a stylus to put both hands on each side to enter text, only to have to pick up the stylus immediately after since the OS relies on using it for everything else.

Also they are too big! You have your PDA when you don't have your bag with you. When you have your bag you have your laptop. When would you need this thing?

regarding input technique: users will be able to use different styles - so everybody will be able to design his/her own on screen keyboard.

I reckon that Origami is for people who would like to carry SMALL bags or that would like to have small portable PC at home - for Internet browsing and for remote TV viewing...

i agree, it's too big to be ultra-mobile. there is already a true UMPC, it's called an OQO.

I assumed right then, just another toy with no practical use by the majority. Tablet PCs didn't take off as most people don't have any need for them and I don't see these being any different.

Someone should tell Microsoft that just because something is possible it doesn't make it worth doing.

It's because the prices of those "toys" are ridiculous.

I think this would be great in the car! I heard some would include GPS recievers. If you can place this in a dock on the dashboard, you'd have a good sized screen for looking at the map, along with a great MP3 player, and even the ability to watch movies. Passengers could undock it and play video games as well. The Tablet PC and Laptops are too big for the car, while Pocket PCs tend to be a little too small. The larger GUI designed for touch screens seems to me to be ideal for automotive computing. The best part is, you don't have to leave it in your car where it can get stolen.
