Cheers. |

Do you really think the only two possibilities for Dualcor's LEAP program are they are vaporware or they fear the release of Origami? Did your "in-depth" (ha ha) research look back at the original release of the OQO or the Libretto? You're trying too hard Mr. Conspiracy Theory. |

well, these examples don't prove anything and we must yet see whether cPC will be ever available for end users / consumers . Of course there are much more possibilities but I just pointed out 2 most probable ones. |

| msmobiles original article wrote: | | There are 2 explanations of this situation: either DualCor cPC is a vaporware and once venture capital money will be used up, the company will go bankrupt, or, possibly: seeing that Microsoft Origami (Ultra Mobile PC) devices are coming soon (May 2006) the DualCor is repositioning itself to abandon consumer market and to focus on corporate market (companies) instead. |
2 explanations ... either/or - doesn't sound like you made much room for other explanations in your original opinion puff-piece. Are you backing off your original position now that it's been shown to be unlikely? |

no
proposition: let's wait and see.
kupe, are you interested in buying this cPC for 1500 USD in USA or 1500 Euro in Europe? and why not Microsoft Origami instead that will be cheaper? |

| I would most definitely choose the cPC over an oragami anyday...but clearly the issue is not functionality, it's price. the cPC is clearly better then the oragami in nearly every aspect, however, the oragami is cheaper and is presented in such a way that it appears equal to the cPC. |

Dualcor, depending on wireless connectivity - biggest differences between the two that matter to me are:
- Origami not intended to replace desktop - Dualcor can
- Origami doesn't have instant-on, low power access to key data & files (WM)
- Origami is generally bigger
- All origamis (so far) are heavier
- Dualcor has significantly (4x) more memory
- Dualcor processor is faster
- Origami hard drives appear bigger
- Dualcor wireless connectivity (BT, wi-fi, cellular) still an unknown
Provide acceptable wireless connectivity and the Dualcor is the best for me. Origami is just too many compromises for me to add yet-another-tier to my computing needs. Here's the difference:
Handheld --> Origami --> Laptop --> Desktop
Dualcor --> Desktop |
