In the next version of Windows XP, to be called "Windows Vista" there will be no ActiveSync (synchronization software for Windows Mobile) at all and it will be integrated into the OS, but in meantime Microsoft is ...

I am grown up and I won't comment on the useless post above, I "get over it"
BUT
as a user, I state that I need ActiveSync over WiFi, "not secure" is not excuse, it's my business to secure my own network. They could put a disclaimer when WiFi sync is activated. Maybe they can't get over some problems they encountered. |

Wow, someone put on his sassy pants today. It was stupid for Microsoft to drop Wifi sync. I think everyone agrees with that. At least make a version that supports it and one that doesnt, or let it be completely disabled during installation. Don't take the functionality away from everyone. |

| I may be missing something, but I have been using Activesync on my NDA Vario via my WiFI network to sync my MDA Vario with Exchange Server. Which bit of WiFi Activesync doesn't work? |

in WM2003 you didn't need Exchange Server to synch to your PC with ActiveSync, in WM5 this feature was removed instead of being just "disabled by default" |

And your first post in this thread was not pathetic? It was mature? And it had a point?
It WAS a big mistake for them to remove that feature, it WAS a mistake worthy of firing the entire development team over.
Someone got lazy, and instead of developing a simple security protocol they just yanked the whole damn feature.
Fire them all I say. |
