The Pocket PC phone with 4GB internal memory (not counting memory on external memory cards) equipped with support for UMTS and HSDPA (!) will apparently be released earlier than expected:

HSDPA sounds great - but not sure what the coverage will be in the UK for the end of this year. Wonder what impact HSDPA will have on batteries (UMTS really kills my Universal).

There is no real use for HSDPA yet, as the coverage around Europe is low or none excisting. 3G/UMTS is the only way to go for now.

Is there any truth to what lutzh posted earlier. It does seem odd to put the device out there with a retailer like Expansys and then to pull it away. It is too bad as I was very interested in this unit.

in Germany HSDPA coverage is very good - both from T-Mobile Germany and from Vodafone Germany - so it is not true that whole Europe is HSDPA-less... |
