We were the first in the world to reveal, that indirectly HTC owns Dopod (and also Qtek) - although many people totally couldn't believe our claims then, even if we confirmed them in an interview with CEO of i-mate...

| Boy, have you ever realized that the information you are trying to give is secondary but the first you have to show is that YOU were the first to have something published? (Indepedently of that in half claims of these that was wrong)..... but who gives a f***, just give us the information and keep your "mine is longer"-discussion for the next pub talk with your friends. |

it is not secondary, stop lying or you will be banned from this forum!
Facts: msmobiles.com as the first in the world revealed connections between HTC and Dopod and Qtek - but at first without proof.
and msmobiles.com as the first in the world showed PROOF that these relations are true, in exclusive interview with CEO of imate:

To claim that MSMobiles broke the story about HTC owning Dopod is absolutely absurd. For weeks, possibly even months, MSMobiles has incorrectly stated that HTC owns Dopod, despite the fact that no such acquisition had been announced yet or had taken place.
Even today, HTC does not "own" Dopod; the two companies have simply signed a Memorandum of Understanding. Friday's public announcement of the Memorandum of Understanding is a required part of Taiwan's laws governing mergers and acquisitions, and it by no means indicates the acquisition is "closed." On the contrary, the acquisition must now receive approval from a variety of Taiwanese regulatory organizations, including the Securities and Futures Bureau, the Securities Association, the Securities & Futures Institute, the Taiwan Stock Exchange and the Taiwan Securities Centralized Depository Corporation. As you can see, HTC is still several important steps away from owning Dopod, though MSMobiles would have you believe otherwise.
Surprisingly (or not, as the case may be), MSMobiles has been making inaccurate claims about Dopod's ownership for some time. Take, for example, this post from May 4, 2006, in which MSMobiles reports:
| Quote: | | Not i-mate, but Dopod (after Qtek one of 2 brands owned by HTC itself) is the first to launch officially the HTC Star Trek under the name "Dopod S300". |
Is MSMobiles trying to say they had insider knowledge of a deal happening between HTC and Dopod almost a month ago? Or are they stating, as it appears in today's post, that i-mate CEO Jim Morrison leaked such insider knowledge as far back as February? (Note, of course, that such an action would constitute fraud under Taiwanese securities law.)
No -- truth of the matter is, MSMobiles just had the story wrong. It's as plain, simple and innocent as that. Just like MSMobiles still has the story wrong about Qtek, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of HTC, not "partly owned" as MSMobiles erroneously wrote today.
My point is this: Reader beware. Much of what MSMobiles reports is extremely valuable information, in my opinion, but it is frequently not without error. Do your homework and double-check the facts behind what you read here, especially if a fact doesn't seem to add up -- often it's wrong and shouldn't add up. Above all else, there is no place for egotistical chest-beating in quality journalism. Whether or not you consider MSMobiles to be "quality" is up for you to decide. |

| msmobiles.com is not a "quality journalism" but just a "tabloid about Windows Mobile phones". Don't expect poetry here, but expect uncovering stories and keeping it real, telling how it is. |

So I guess you follow the same ethic as all tabloids:
If you cannot report the truth, make it up. |
