| Fiar enough on the specs but everyone seems to forget about the most important spec of them all, the size of the damn thing. It sounds good but how big is it compared to the rw6828? I doubt it is smaller but the same size and it would be a winner for me. |

From their site: "At only 119 x 62 x 23mm the G500 is comparable in size to traditional mobile phone handsets. In addition to GSM phone and GPS functions, the device also serves as a high-specification PDA running Windows Mobile 5.0." |

Cheers rauler, Not sure where you got the GPS from, it has GPRS but the G500 is the one with GPS (according to their site anyway).
The rw6828 is 102mm (H) x 58mm (W) x 19.5mm (D) so it is quite a bit bigger, I will still try and get the rw6828 here in England. |

no EDGE! how can you tout this phone as a great phone when they fail to include possibly the most important function! as an htc apache owner, i rarely even use my wifi! evdo is plenty fast and uses much less battery power than wifi (kills the battery!)
that being said, wifi is not as abundant as i need it to be to be a feasible option and EVDO/EDGE are available in many many areas with widespread covered. furthermore, it takes longer to connect to wifi and you have to re-connect to different and possibly locked access points as you travel.
this is a great phone but it is missing what i consider the most important feature of my pda phone: high speed internet. perhaps it meets the needs of many, but if they have experienced high speed connectivity via EDGE/EVDO/UMTS/HSPDA or whatever, they will know how sad they are not to have it...and if they haven't experienced it, they don't know what they're missing!!!
my 2 cents.
