I always thought that the world first 3G Triband WM PDA was the universal.
I think that what you wan't to say is the worlds first UNDER THE HTC BRAND, well but i guess you didn't read the press release you posted a few posts bellow this one. |

|
|
From what I can see/read, the Meteor does not have a camera on the front and will therefore not support video calling - a massive disappointment on their first 3G phone. If someone can tell me that I'm wrong that would be great!
The first Nokia 3G phone did not support video calling - but they have learnt fro this and all phones since have had cameras on the front.
Not many people will place person-to-person video calls - however the mobile applications space is relying on standards and handset penetration to get the application-to-person mobile video market kickstarted.

| I guess the "Impressions" is the exclusive. MSMobiles is late again on reporting news. |

msmobiles are doing a great job - thank you guys.
If you don't like them go elsewhere rather than hanging around here complaining that they are late reporting a product launch - less than 24 hours after the event.

wow, that's what I like at msmobiles: pictures and specs of upcoming devices
I like HTC MTeoR, I'd trade my Qtek8300 for HTC MTeoR if it had WiFi (and I don't wan't any micro-SD WiFi addons, I prefer built-in)
It also looks like it does not have front camera for 3G, but I don't care, I barely use my phone for talking It's still 3G, so we get the High Speed network.
Good to see HTC heading in the right direction and making steps fast. |

Yes - very disappointing to see that there is no camera on the front for 3G video calls.
I thought that all manufacturers were putting 3G cameras on the front now - with only 1 early Nokia model missing it. In order to achieve ubiquity and kick off the usage of these emerging services (eg. application to person 3G video calls) it's CRITICAL that standards are implemented consistently and totally across the industry.

The Titan has still missed out on a big opportunity. The F/Siemens LOOX T830 comes out at the same time as the Titan but will have Sirf 111 GPS as well as UMTS, 2 megapixel camera, wi-fi, Bluetooth etc etc AND a standard sized SD/MMC card slot. It looks better to boot !
I'm sure the Titan could have had GPS. Because it doesn't I will be buying the T830 instead. |

| I see that the new budget Nokia 3G phone (announced yesterday) is another phone not to include video calling functionality - a scary and frustrating trend for the video content providers. |
