| um, didn't htc send their lawyers after you for doing this? anyway, both look neat, but saying "do not buy!" isn't very positive for the windows mobile community, also, isn't price of critical concern? the artemis might be more affordable and thus a better buy than the trinity or the hermes, especially for those who don't even use 3G. |

yes, that's why I am not revealing any information about upcoming HTC phones that hasn't been published by others.
for me Windows Mobile community are end users and since 200 MHz is not acceptable in year 2006, I am just keeping it real. |

It's not acceptable for you, but it's acceptable for MANY.
Not everyone needs Skype on their phones = Not every country has very easy to find FREE Wifi hotspots = Skype becomes useless.
Not everyone needs 3G when too many operators are charging rip-off prices. By the time it becomes affordable, people can just a new HTC phone (yes it will take that long).
The HTC wizard is a "super slow" 200mhz... But guess what? It works great for a LOT of people. Go on the Tube in london sometime, you will spot many Wizards. |

| Can 200MHz even handle a GPS applicaton? TomTom uses a fairly smooth high-framerate 3D display for your planned route, which moves smoothly on my 600MHz PDA. I can't see it working very well on a 200MHz. Anoter problem would probably be this thing taking way too long to plot new routes, and possibly taking too long to re-plot should you miss a turn. Anyone here have any experience wth a 200MHz PDA that can let us know how that performs? |

The 200Mhz on the wizards handles Tomtom just fine.
Tomtom works just fine on my 123Mhz Smartphone. |

Hello all;
Although I like the included GPS, does one know if it could be disabled and "replaced" with an external receiver, or would it be possible if not to diable but to use one over the other or use the internal with one application and the external with another application?
Thank you for your help

yes, it is always possible - in your GPS software you just set other Bluetooth serial port number to which your external GPS receiver is paired. It is always indeed possible. |
