Instead of describing, what registry entries should be changed to achieve some changes in functionality, somebody has created a utility program for HTC Hermes Pocket PC phones (i.e. Orange SPV M3100, HTC TyTN, T-Mob...

because it is not altruist if registration is required what means that somebody is boosting his ego by forcing people to register and then saying that his community has so many users but in fact these are not people of his community/forum but just people who downloaded program... |

A) Who cares how many visitors he says he has?
B) Just because it's in German doesn't make it impossible. If you don't read German then try a translation site.
C) He wrote it, so he can distribute it any way he likes. Many sites (XDA Developers for example) require a login - are you suggesting they are selfish and not interested in the community?
At the end of the day if this thing is useful to you what harm is there in registering?
Stop bitching about somebody who HAS done something for the community.
I think the guy deserves an MVP! |

Cool down,
you have the tendency to "bash" everything that is not exactly like YOU would do it. THIS is what I call "Narrow-minded" and "selfish"
Being a software developer myself I can COMPLETELY understand this guy - because if I am giving away my work for free I want at least to know who is using my "product". With a registration I can find out whether my work was wasted (i.e. nobody cares) or if people are sing it - and also downloading new version etc. So I know if it makes sense to stick with this "project" - or when it is time to abandon it.
If I am giving away something for free to help others I donīt want to be kicked just because I didnīt wrap it in gift paper
Cheers

each Pocket PC device can have GPS icon in settings - in order to handle more than one GPS-using application at once, even if the GPS hardware is external, not internal. See also here for screenshots and more:
