| I like wifi built in, but we've seen battery life to be pretty mediocre without wifi, how aweful is it going to be using wifi even sparingly. Nothing eats up my laptop battery more that using wifi, so I'll be really interested to see how the HTC stands up with wifi enabled. |

this concerns are TOTALLY not grounded because you DON'T HAVE TO use Wi-Fi, but having Wi-Fi in some environments (office, home, hotspots, lunch-breaks, etc) is absolutely crucial. |

| raulr has a point, most of these phones have a problem going through a day without a charge. If you have wifi the battery will last even less time. If my Q had wifi I would probably never use it. On my 6700 I never use it. |

I haven't found a single office, home, hotspot, or restaurant where I would choose wi-fi over EVDO. It's too power hungry, too localized, too inconsistently applied, and very often too expensive (I can't believe the rip-off hot spot costs in Europe!). Otherwise, I can see how wifi is crucial.
Otherwise, the HTC phone looks like it has the potential to be a decent phone. Hopefully it wil overcome HTC's usual penchant toward low earpiece volume and bad microphone sound found on many of their current and past models. |
