I have needed to reinstall this Sling Player Mobile many times. I can guarantee you that if you install using the CAB file method, you will have to input the new Slingbox data each and every time.
But if you install using the .exe method, most of the time when you sync using Active Sync, the settings of the slingboxes in your PC version will sync over. And if they do not, the first time you run SPMobile, it will ask if you want to transfer over the data OTA.
There is a rare time when even using the .exe method you will have to input the data but not every time.
And I also use it over EDGE10 and about 50% of the time I get download speeds of 300k/sec with very good audio and slightly choppy video. This is a function of how well the EDGE service is working. Apparently, Cingular gives no real priority to keeping this service up and running perfectly. |
