This phone has been nowhere yet announced by Samsung itself, but obviously some operators must be testing it already, because first photos leaked!
Samsung SGH-i760 is to Pocket PC phones, what Samsung i600 is to ...

i600 is cheaper and has no touchscreen because it is ms smartphone
i760 is Pocket PC with touch screen.
i600 has wheel and i760 not. |

This is all very encouraging to see another manufacturer using a slider form factor for Pocket PC. Samsung has had great success with sliders so I suppose its no surprise to see this new model.
This is a very appealing device that seems to be well speced. I'd rather have one of these any day instead of an HTC TyTN |

I'm just wondering whether you mean you'd prefer it to the TyTN because of its looks alone, or due to any other aspects?
I think this looks great, but I'm inclined to believe that the thumbboard of the TyTN is superior as it has more width, and that the scrollwheel would also be something a TyTN user would miss on the Samsung.
Still, very goodlooking and apparently well-specced device. |

Add GPS and they would have a customer here.
I know you can use external units, but GPS built in means you can use location based services. |

I would like to see full specs (not speculation) for this model. Can anybody who gets this information post the details please.
Thanks |

Nice phone - Looks like a strong follow-on to the i730/i830 series. _________________ good titles are misleading!

I think i320 looks better, and is more "in target" of todays need. i600 is just another brick in the pocket, in black this time. since I touched i320 I started to believe for Smartphone again.
Certainly I don't discuss if PPC with touch screen is better or not. This another way.
Make PPC only 10 mm slim and it will kick off the market seriously! |

from an aesthetic point of view this Samsung looks great for a pocket PC phone. It seems to have the technical clout to back up the good looks. I'm sorely tempted to get one when they are released.
I'm heartily hacked off with PDA style form factors for pocket PC phones. Maybe HTC will now get the message and follow Samsung with design.
I was dead set on getting the Nokia N95 as my next phone since it seems to genuinely be a "killer phone" This Samsung has given me something to think about. GPS might just be the deciding factor that swings it. |
