I got my on Friday, 3 days ago and what an amazing piece of kit. Nothing I have used previously even comes close.
The screen is crystal sharp and IMO not too small. I also don't mind the weight.
Fujitsu Siemens also added lots of neat shortcuts and extras. Using WMP10 with a basic tone controls (bass, treble and 3d effect) make a huge difference. |

All great, but Expansys says: 240 x 240 pixel - is that so?? Doesn't look square on the msmobiles pic. If it's 240x320 then I might consider getting it |

Yes its 240 x 240, but it's only a 2.4inch screen which makes qvga very sharp and clear, much better clarity than a HP Square Screen which is 2.7inch.
The only downside, is games. These really need to be native 240 x 240 to look and function at their best. However, the games I have installed are all 240 x 240.
I was really nervous about the small screen size and weight etc, and bought device blind. But I really love it. So far I cannot find any bugs. 3g video calling works as well. So many nifty quick ways of doing things. |

Its fast. I havent tried skype, and have no need to. The phone is very nippy. No speed issues at all. There was a recent speed cpu test done, and this machine was very fast.
As an example, it currently has Activesync, Internet Explorer, Notes, Calendar, Contacts and Outlook Email running with no drop in speed. I have had loads more open , with no problems. |

| What service are you using the new Siemens on? I am on Verizon and was wondering if anyone knew if this or any other new phones were coming soon the Verizon network? While I love my i730...I've had it for almost 2 years now and am dying for something new especially something with the new OS on it and a decent camera built in. |

There was no gps software bundled, just a gps locator app. I bought tomtom 6 on dvd, but my 4gb sd card broke. I am waiting for a replacement this week. However, the gps app picked up 8 satellites fairly quickly.
The battery life stacks up fairly well, but its a fairly large one. There is no usb host cable included, so I bought from maplin for 5 pounds a mini usb adapter to male usb. I have been using the usb host mode with usb pens and memory card readers with superb success. Amazing. |

hopefully someone can do a comprehensive review soon.
when you mentioned "usb host", do you mean that it can be set as an external storage when connected to a pc?
hope it has sms chat threading |

usb host is where you plug usb devices into the phone. eg. memory card readers, keyboards, usb mp3 players etc...
no sms threading but there is a free app available that does this. personally don't see the benefit of this. |

I'm after 240x320, not the size. I was able to play with WM5 240x240 device for a day and so many games/apps run half off screen, I had trouble closing them.
Sorry, I prefer 240x320 for 100% compatibility. |

I am having hardly any issues with this. My last wm5 device was a mda vario, and I honestly think Fujitsu Siemens have done something really clever with the screen implementation. I think when you get to see this phone, you might change your mind.
It is only the games that might cause issue. I have not had the problems you refer too with so many apps running half off the screen. Games I can understand, hence the need for square screen support. |
