So true. And Magic Button, which has been around for years, still works perfectly on WM5.0 PPC devices. I'm sure there are others too - these are just two I happen to have on my SD card as backups.
I guess the HTC shill who runs this site isn't so up to date on the big bad world of PPC. _________________ good titles are misleading!

| This has been handled for a long time, application development companies such as SPB have taken this error to heart and written applications of this nature. Amongst the best, free, applications that handle the problem of MS WM5 not closing applications when the button is hit is In-Close Mobile. |

I prefer Handy Switcher and hooking it up to a hardware button. Then its just like the iTask app which is bundled with iPaqs (except 69xx).[/url] _________________ WiFiFoFum Pocket PC Wardriving

but is it free application? no!
the link to the other freeware doesn't work too.
I also mean: simply app that closes windows and not just yet another task switcher!! it must do one thing: closing apps when tapped on "x" and it shouldn't have task manager functionality. |

I guess you didn't click hard enough on the link I provided.
Magic Button has a whopping ( ) 71K footprint. How's HTC's one-trick-pony software's footprint?

Luckily, there are no legality problems with Magic Button. _________________ good titles are misleading!

Well anyway I think it's a good thing that they include it in the Out Of Box product.
yes, I have also been aware of Pocket Plus since ..... hmmm day 3 but meet lots of people that dossent have the first clue about PPC, and for them it's great.
Some people actually dossent share our interest in these gadgets.....just get them cause they need it for time registrering etc. and it's those people that need things complete Out Of The Box. _________________ ------------
