HTC Excalibur has no 3G supports - neither UMTS nor HSDPA so... it is not competitive enough to combat Samsung i600 series (including BlackJack) and Motorola Q phones - other phones powered by Windows Mobile Smartph...

SPV C700 wont be released, but the Mteor is out already:

I've read user opinion that there's no battery problem. Perhaps it's an Orange 3G network problem, ie. this handset doesn't like Orange 3G. |

Ok, read support forum on above link and many people are having poor battery life.
This just shows how HTC pump out loads of phones with little interest in how they are actually used. Do they trial them? |

yes, but ultimately it is mobile operators aka wireless carierrs that decide how good given phone is! |

I was told by someone who would know but must remain nameless that the Cavalier would support:
WCDMA tri band 850/1900/2100
HSDPA 1.8 Mbps
EDGE/GSM/GPRS quad band 850/900/1800/1900
