The thing with sliding keyboards is you get a reasonable size keyboard and a good size screen.
I would say those going for sliding keyboards are normal users, gadget freaks. Those who want the keyboard exposed are business users.
Visible qwerty keyboards can make a phone look too ugly and busy for some users. Also those who want to watch video on their unit or use it for GPS won't be too impressed with a 240x240 screen (some apps dont even work with it). |

hey, Ubiquio 501 aka i-mate JAQ3 have single handed QWERTY keyboard and 320x240 resolution! |

True, I do think the landscape orientation is better than chopping the screen off.
Do all applications work ok though? |
