I don't think its a case of laziness more of a case that HTC has felt totally dominant in WM arena and it can dictate the pace at which its phones progress. Hence we have seen HTC "drip feed" through changes and features. We have still to see a 3G/3.5G HTC pocket PC phone with built in GPS.

The good news is that the competition are uping the ante and that may be partly due to increased demand from phone networks and companies like i-Mate who want their brand on WM phones and not the HTC brand. HTC alternatives are starting to appear now at an increasingly prolific rate. This will force HTC to keep pace or face becoming an also-ran. Competition can be a healthy thing.

Any news on if this has FM radio?

The (blatently mocked up) close up image says FM next to the volume indicator...

Is this supposed to be a gaming device? Ok, a large hi-res screen, powerful GPU, surround sound. Nice. But why is it so big and ugly and does not have any gaming controls or even look like a gaming device? I would use this in my car as a GPS navigator, but as a phone - what a joke Wink Nokia's desperate N-Gage toy is like a dream when compared to this. And this brick must be a real power-saver too Laughing

Hope HTC or Samsung will never release anything this stupid "thing".

Sounds like most of you are missing some points here Shocked

The sorround sund I dont get, but a VGA screen with a GPU is verry nice, for viewing Powerpoint pressentations, and the VGA out makes it a splendid ppt pressenter.

The size is allso right, what's the point in VGA on a 2,5" screen? You need 3,5"+ to be able to see the details.

FM radio is nice for listening to some news on the go, instead of some 3 hours old podcasts or RSS feeds, and takes away the need to stack all your music CD's on the device, eaven if there's plenty of room for it, with 2GB built in memory.

And those 2GB are not ocupied by navigation software, on this device, unlike some others, where you only get to use 250MB of the build in GB memory Rolling Eyes

PPC's were never designed to be entertainment centers, eaven if most of them easyly doubles as that, and this one gives you everything you need for both serius- and entertainment use.

Actually the Flame is the most innovative PPC I've seen since the Qtek 9000/ iMate Jasjar, and it takes full advantage of most new tecnollogy for WM 5.0 devices.

Just too bad, it's another "Asia only" thing Sad

Take a look at the pics: http://www.dinarsoft.com/gitex.html
and please update: it has 91MB of Program Memory Free! (I only have 25MB free on my lousy TyTN. Noobs asking: why more memory? To be able to set big File System Cache which speeds things up. To be able to run more programs.)
