| doesn't that just mean that what brightpoint is distributing the phones to Regional Carriers (only smaller carriers, not the larger ones such as Cingular & T-mobile) and than also anyone such as dealers or master agents that do not buy directly from larger carriers? sounds like the major carriers would just go thru htc still |

It's actually ingenious. HTC gets even more exposure in the USA without having to individually contract with all the mom & pop wireless services that dot the landscape. Brightpoint does this for most of the other big phone makers (Moto, Samsung, LG, Nokia, Palm, et al) relieving them of the burden of staffing a door-to-door sales force. You might say HTC has finally arrived at "the bigs" now.
They still will deal directly with the Verizons, Cingulars, Sprints, etc, so no change there.

I agree. Seems like wiseacre thinks that very move HTC makes is bad. Never have I heard what HTC should have done. Always just barking.
