Interesting idea: instead of offering on-board memory a memory card slot is provided in this SDIO card with GPS receiver. It would be interesting to see this idea realized also in Wi-Fi card so that users of phones ...

Handy for some situations I guess. But the location of the slot on some phones makes such a device cumbersome to use.

Bluetooth GPS is very affordable, no wear n tear on the sd slot either.

yes, but Bluetooth pairing is cumbersome sometimes and sometimes it is impossible to use Bluetooth headset and GPS receiver at the same time
