Unless a device is able to run full up versions of PC software (MS Office, for example), calling these devices UMPCs is just an underhanded attempt by a manufacturer to mislead consumers. If S-Xgen was a full-and-open company, they would be honest in their sales pitch and simply tout the positive features of their device. Makes me wonder what other weaknesses and shortfalls they're hiding in this product. The flimsy keyboard comes to mind...

I'd be embarrased to use that device in front of anyone.
Also, it's flawed since the screen is at the left side. Bit of an eye/neck strain to look at the screen.
A PPC phone and a foldable keyboard is much easier. |

| One-handed operation on my Hermes, despite the scroll wheel, is bad enough, let alone a Pocket PC with this form factor. |
