Time is ripe for Microsoft to release and announce officially Windows Mobile 6 at last! We have plenty of information about it but in fear of Microsoft lawyers we have pulled it down and we are not publishing it at ...

These updates all seem like too little too late compared to the iPhone. Steve Jobs is right...Windows Mobile is just too hard to use for the average person. Windows Media Player sucks as a music player as far of ease of use. I wonder if Windows Mobile is doomed. Based on Microsoft's response to the iPod, MS may opt to put all of it's efforts in a Zune Phone rather than Windows Mobile.

I don't see why the lawyers would care, firstly the upgrade isn't going to be available as a paid upgrade. Secondly, by the time it is released officially you will get it (even if you don't want it) when you buy your next Windows Mobile phone.
Of course, these big companies have to push people around and sue the little people to keep them in line.
For the record, I installed WM5 on my iMate Sp3, it sucked at the time and I downgraded.
I've bought three WM5 devices, so where are the lost sales Microsoft? |

I guess S60 or even Series40 isn't any easier. The average person does not buy a smartphone. He buys some very simple and cheap phone. $500 with a contract is way too much for a hardware device, which after a year is obsoleted technology.
Because Apple is using multi-touch does not mean it's good. Phones are usually used with one hand so multi-touch is just a stupid gimmick. Apple wants to do everything differently than others but that does not mean it's a good solution and why should everybody always copy everything from Apple?

Well Apple have a lot to actually prove with this iphone, its priced in the highend, but missing the highend features expected of a phone in this price bracket.
One has to wonder about what kind of stragegy microsoft is following with the Window Mobile - and nothing looks promising. The phones they offer to consumers can barely be regarded as consumer friendly phones - and by that i mean the phone UI is just too plain boring, compared to everyone else, Windows Media Player is very broken as far as usability and sync is concerned.
What saves Windows Mobile is Exchange and Outlook (business) which work very smoothly with Windows Mobile devices. |

Maybe not, but Nokia and Sony Ericsson at least provide a good user manual and good support. Not to mention most people buy on contract and also have their phone operator for customer service too when things dont work.
As for the iPhone. It's larger than my Eten M700 and this phone is big enough, an iPhone will be hard to pocket and an instant target for muggers. |
