Nice looking phone and i do like the clam shell design more than sliders (they balance better when typing on a desk).
It's just a shame the radio section is so dated and the CPU is slow. |

| I currently tote the jasjar around and I like it but I think the screen size is too small for the size of the device. This model doesn't look any better. |

3G technology in UMTS standard is not peanuts, so while it is peanuts to make GSM phone, 3G technology requires some years of learning so I reckon that in 1-2 years i-mate will have also 3G non-HTC phones... |

iMate is just a brand though, they can get anyone to make a phone. I'm sure somewhere there's a firm that can make them a 3G unit.
I do like the design of this. I liked the Nokia communicators I had and there's no keyboard around as useful as those had. Especially the rubber 9210i keyboard which was very useable. The clicky keyboards on slider phones just don't compare. |
