Apparently marketing people at HTC, apart from buying banners on the Internet, are also publishing videos to YouTube and launching a special website!

As far as price goes, this could be a very tempting buy with operator subsidies.
T-Mobile Europe has already stated that it will cost just €499EUR (c. £329GBP/$650USD) on one of their mid-range Relax tariffs as part of an 18-month contract. That puts it in the price range that the HTC Universal started at initially, and it has a much richer feature set than that handset.
With operator subsidies, and after the initial hype around the handset dies down and prices begin to fall after three or four months, this phone could be a real bargain.
That said, I think it will be prohibitively expensive as a SIM-free purchase, simply because it would make more sense to get a better-equipped UMPC for the kind of money that it's likely to go for without subsidy. |
