It looks good and is very powerful. What more do you need?

many people their whole life commute to work over well known route and don't need built-in GPS. Many people really don't need GPS.

About the gentlemen concerning GPS. I think that will be same case with Hermes. The chip is inside, but will you consider to use gps in a small screen?

SatNav isn't the only reason to need GPS
Location tracking/reporting is a very usefull feature.
Imagine you supply your field staff with HTC trinity and can text them the details of their next client.
Then the app on the PDA sends an automated "Mrs Smith, our engineer is 5miles away and will be with you shortly" SMS which can improve customer service.

This handset cost me a great deal of Money, and I have to say I feel the idiot for having wanted to be on the bleeding edge (have the latest greatest right away). I wish I had held off and read reviews. I strongly suspect any positive review I see is either a company employee or one of the very few who hasnt been burned (not literally) by this company/device. I had to reset (hard reset where you lose everything) more than once. And the last time I tried to charge it it gave out on me althogether. It wont charge nor even turn on. I am not alone in this, hunt around and you'll see. When it did work, it hung an awful lot (I wonder where they got their 520 mghz processor, more like 200 if you ask me). And the memory leak, lets see with 3 programs installed
(google maps, gmail application, and google talk) 128mb and 256mb becomes 27mb and 39mb (before you ask yest the latest firmware was applied). As for the easy one handed operation I hear bandied about, forget that. The key are actually a little close together (I dont have fingers larger than the average male) and if you press one key on the qwerty keyboard too soon after another it doesnt register (despite what the latest firmware is sopposed to do). And lastly battery life. I dont use a bluetooth headset, nor sync via bluetooth. I dont use my wifi (I have unlimited internet from my cellular company). And lastly I dont have hour long conversation on the phone (well occasionally yes not regularly). I had to charge my phone every day and a half to two days. So say for 2 half hour conversation and less that 30 min surfing via 3 g perday I have to charge every couple of days, no listening to music or videocalling or watching things on you tube, I cant see how a business user would want this.
When I emailed the company to inform them their product was garbage and I was an unsatified customer (yes I was a little harsh in the email but who wouldnt be after spending as much as I did) what I got as a response was *this is a paraphrase and not a direct quote* Sorry you feel that way we got lots of people who like our product and here are their quotes, write back if you have any further questions. No please contact our help department, no can you identify exactly the problem so we can help, I get a these guys like it so sucks to be you *again a paraphrase not a quote*. Wow lack of dedication to customer satisfaction and a low quality product, I'm amazed they are still in business, but I am comforted by the fact that they are just a start up and probably wont be around for much longer.
You may say I sound bitter and I am a little, but this is so that no one else spends over 600 dollars for a product that will fail completely before 5 months. Go with anything but this product and you'll be happier for it
