While users of Windows Mobile 5.0 will never get Windows Live for Windows Mobile but instead they will have to buy a new phone with Windows Mobile 6, that has Windows Live pre-installed in ROM... owners of Xbox 360 ...

If they provide Live services for WM5 then about 50% of the new features in WM6 could be crossed out Smile

Why are you (msmobiles) assuming WL will never be released for WM5?

Like on the news before, it is unclear if Microsoft will release WL for WM5, because:

1.- It seems they are testing a new beta (post on last news).

2.- Right, they promote WL as an important part of WM6, but they don't say it's totally exclusive.

3.- On the press pass it says users can use WL to connect to Xbox 360, PC, and Windows Mobile-powered devices, not Windows Mobile 6-powered devices.

4.- And last, there is still no official word on WL for WM5 from Microsoft, or if there is, I haven't seen it.

I think you should check all the posibilities on WL for WM5, before announcing it will never be released.

Let's start simple: There is a WL beta which works on WM5, and was recently updated.

If MS is not releasing WL for WM5 then what's the point in having a beta that works on WM5?.

Is this beta intended for WM6 and for some odd reason it works on WM5?.

Does the beta have a NDA which prevents beta testers from talking about it?.

Unfortunately I'm not a connect WL beta tester. So I can't say what this is all about...

This is getting confusing... Confused

It works well with me on my i-mate JASJAR. Find the link below:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=300473&page=5

the steps to install are as follows:

- On the device, you have to delete the old pocket MSN.

- To delete it, go to start, programs, file explore, my device, windows, Start Menu, programs, and press and hold at the pocket MSN and delete, it will prompt you that this is a system file and if confirm if you want to remove it by clicking yes or no.

- Then you to start, settings, today, items, and uncheck the Pocket MSN from the list.

- Now Copy the attached cab file without Extracting to the device, and run it from the device.
