Motorola Q has genuine scroll wheel and comfortabl QWERTY keyboard for single-handed usage, so it is dissapointing that no Windows Mobile 6 will be available for that smartphone:

Are you going to pay for the upgrade to WM6?
No? Then why should Motorola give it out for free? It costs money (to pay MS) for an upgrade! |

It doesn't! WM6 is supplied at no cost to operators who previously licensed WM5. _________________ WiFiFoFum Pocket PC Wardriving

| But don't forget all of the customization that is done for the unit itself. The code they get from Microsoft is typically only 40-60% of the code actually present on the unit. The other chunk of code must be developed (ported in this case, I would guess) by the manufacturer, with small customizations for the carrier. Therefore, WM6 will not be a "no cost" upgrade to Motorola, so they must factor that cost in to their decision to provide an upgrade. |

| Microsoft is offering WM6 for FREE to the OEM's who offered WM5 devices and Motorola has a Moto Q GSM WM6 version (not the Moto Q CDMA) so Moto could very well offer a WM6 upgrade for the CDMA version. |
