Dell has a power to bring Tablet PC to masses ! Besides this this Tablet PC is very thin and offers touch screen and digitizer display in one device. Clearly also pricing can be area in which Dell can be competitive.

So it is A LOT OF SOMETHING NEW...

It can bring supply, but not create demand.

I don't know anyone who wants one, yet many people I know have smartphones and PDA phones.

Here in Australia, many teachers like tablet PC as they can easily sketch right on their laptops. I hope one day, the digitizer pen will be pressure sensitive too, like what a Wacom tablet can do.

I have had 3 Tablet PC-s in my life and all of them have pressure sensitive pens/displays. Digitizer by definition is pressure sensitive. The only problem is that some programs for Windows don't recognize pressure sensitivity - I recommend then to start Windows Journal, to set "pressure sensitive" in pen settings and to draw with various pressure - to test it...

Great tablet pc with great design at dell pricing could be good since tablet pc from other brand is quite expensive.

Also, the great thing about a convertible tablet pc is that you could use it as a normal notebook with the keyboard and touch pad. The tablet feature is great for note taking in school. Great for math, science class. Try typing math or chemical formula in a lecture you you will find it is quite hard. Also great for drawing and photoshop.

Let hope it will use a wacom sensor.
