It's not very interesting to come out with a new device featuring Windows XP.

Plus, the keyboard orientation is all wrong. I don't want an overgrown PDA, I want a light-duty tablet substitute.

Technology for technology's sake.

Windows was never designed for a phone. The interface will be cumbersome to use on the move, Windows Mobile is bad enough as it is.

Repeat after me, it's a ultra-mobile PC. It's as much a phone as my notebook computer. Which actually is a phone since it runs both Office Communicator and the X-Ten softphone. But that's for desk use via a USB handset or USB wireless headset. I don't hold my notebook to my ear, or make calls using my notebook while walking around.

You wouldn't stop carrying around your phone in favor of this device.

So under realistic usage, that'll be more like 4-6 hours. Perfect for a phone!
