Microsoft Office for Mac OS X is damaging business of Microsoft because it convinces people to switch to Mac computers knowing that they can use Microsoft Office there too. Apparently there is agreement between Micr...

Hardly, it's the iPod and viruses that have made people switch to Mac OS.
The Missing Sync is a lot better than ActiveSync, properly mounts a Windows Mobile device, you can view files and pictures from the phone without copying to the computer first. |

yes, but having Office for Mac is a very important factor in switching - so that people switch without worrying. I think it is mistake of Microsoft - all in all - to offer Office for Mac!!! |

I've never heard anyone state that as a reason. They'e usually just after a more productive computer, something more reliable and less problems from viruses, registry etc...
Not to mention apple like Logic, Final Cut, Aperture.
Incidentally, Mac Office 2004 is really great.
Microsoft support the Mac as without the Mac they have more anti-trust worries.
Microsoft have some 90-94% of the business desktop and I dont see that changing anytime soon. |

True, but the fact that a third party program on a non-Windows OS can do it (and did it before Vista was even released) shows how badly Microsoft designs their software at times.
Also, what is wrong with people moving to the Mac? competition is good. There's lots of ideas in Windows Vista that wouldn't have existed if Microsoft hadn't copied Mac OS X.
There's been a version of Office for Mac for years, so where's the evidence for the damage this has done to Microsoft?
Mac Office has always omitted Microsoft Access from the Mac port and still does. So it's not a level playing field.
Honestly, get a Mac and try one out, you can spend more of your life doing things and not finding drivers, fixing technical issues and trying to find adware. I find my Mac a very productive tool, I use Logic Audio. |
