Instead of watching YouTube with a Flash player for Windows Mobile - that is not possible yet - one can watch YouTube videos now with help of Internet Explorer (just enter "m.youtube.com" in address bar):

With the new AKU that was dropped a month or so ago for the 3125, I figure I try it. Unfortunately, it will not work. I even tried to configure my CorePlayer and nada, zero, zip!!!

Oh well. Guess I have to wait till I get a WM6 smartphone or PPC. Sad

This is weird. I am using my softbank x01ht flashed with a Taiwan made Chi version WM6, I have not installed TCPMP/CorePlayer. When I click the Youtbe video thumbnail, the Stream software just auto started to stream and play, it is flawless.

Does not work on T-Mobile USA Wing which comes with WM6.0. Looks like it is a device related issue not an OS issue.

You need streaming media player installed / cooked into the rom.

Unless you have this it won't work.

With that said, unfortunately only portions of youtube are available and my understanding of how youtube works means all video's need to be re-encoded to be compatible with this mobile version, so I don't think it will ever hit a real and full sustainability... but it's good fun for now.

Anyone knows the name of that streaming media player? I don't have it on my ROM and is hoping that I can install it. That would be much easier then upgrading the ROM.

I have flash my HTC Hermes with the Black Shadow version of WM6 ROM. It came with the HTC Media Streaming Player and it works with m.YouTube video. The video format is 3gp and the streaming media player handles that.

You can download the Black Shadow ROM at http://wmblack.info/

Make sure you read the instruction carefully. If you don't know what you are doing, don't do it.
