If true, then the assisted GPS is a disappointment. I personally would live with QVGA, but why not SirfIII GPS? Seems to be the Eten X800 as next device.

on the back of HTC Kaiser there is text "Assisted GPS" or "A-GPS" - one of these two - I don't remember - and Microsoft employees confirmed that GPS in HTC Kaiser is Assisted GPS ! |

Thanks for the video.
Any UK launch details (date, network etc.) would be great.

A-GPS or 'Assisted GPS' differs from regular GPS by adding another element to the equation: the cellular (GSM) information. This makes it faster and more accurate than a normal GPS. So even if you are in a tunnel you will still be able get correct location information by taking into account the location of the GSM mast locations.
So actually, A-GPS is only better than standard GPS!
Maybe this should be added to the frontpage article! Since else many people will be disapointed in this device while this is just another benefit!
Some background information can found on some sites like Wikipedia. That's just a free online encyclopedia where you can very easily find some background information on almost everything, very interesting to take a look at that site before posting such comments on a frontpage!

That's true. A-GPS is always better than GPS. I used to own the Mio A701 and its built it SiRF III took 1-2 minutes to get a fix normally, and something like 10 seconds running A-GPS. So A-GPS (being software) is a very good thing, no matter if the GPS chip itself is good or bad.

AFAIK A-GPS is network dependant, meaning that the network provider has to provide the service. So assuming that my network provider does not provide A-GPS, then the base functions of the GPS chip is at least equal in sensitity as a SirfIII?

Why do you keep calling it "genuine" scroll wheel? Haha. it's kind of funny though. But wouldn't scroll wheel suffice?
