Any auto-focus for the 3M camera? This is the primary concern when I am considering buying Kaiser to replace my current beloved Hermes!!

Someone said Kaiser has auto focus while someone else said not. Please please tell me!!

128 MB RAM hence can be confirmed ? Really ?
So the imate Ultimate series would now be beaten in this category before it is already out...

Yes, the screen resolution of the Kaiser is disappointing in my opinion.

Had a Qtek 9000 before the TyTN, which had full VGA.
Changing to the TyTN was almost an offence to my eyes...

Also almost ANY auto-focus makes a BIG difference to the image quality of a photo. (Not to forget the influence of a REAL flash.)

OK a phone (or PDA) is no replacement of a full-fledged digital camera and I wouldn't turn it into one, e.g. with a larger lense thus making the phone much heavier.

But an auto-focis facility plus a tiny but powerful flash-LED wouldn't contribute negatively to the weight, but immensely improve image quality.

I do not know why WM devices (although really not chep at all) still widely lack those "features".

Regarding image quality - still, unfortunately - any contemporary Nokia handset is superior (some Sony-Ericsson models even far ahead).

I have to conclude this in order to stick to truth, but I hope we could make the main WM manufacturers move into this direction soon.

The HTC Polaris is said to offer an 3 MP autofocus camera and VGA screen. Unfortunately no keyboard Sad

The camera in the HTC Athena is 3MP autofocus so I'm hopeful of the same in this.

I'm personally glad it's not VGA screen, it takes up too much processing power, QVGA is perfectly sufficient for a screen this size.

Sorry but nobody could answer me this question during this event. I don't know!

However I can mention that since HTC Advantage has 3 megapixel camera and autofocus, and since HTC Kaiser has also 3 megapixel camera, one can assume that it will be auto-focus.

the bottom line is: nobody has 100% official information about it yet.

A-GPS (Assisted GPS) is superior to GPS. It provides faster fix to the location of the device.

I have also read that A-GPS is better than GPS.

It can even use GPS even in tunnel. It because the GSM can help in this case.

Does it involve an extra subscription when using it?

A true point but TTTF is far more dependent on the GPS chipset used. Unfortunately the Kaiser uses the Qualcomm chipset which is vastly inferior to the Sirf Star III used in the MDA Compact III (HTC Armetis) and in most BT GPS receivers.

TTTF for the Kaiser even with the AGPS will be slow

Is there any information if the microSD slot is SDHC compatible? I believe the Advantage is, but haven't seen any specifics for the Kaiser. 8GB of microSDHC on the Kaiser would be so much better than any iPhone (sorry, I hope I just didn't offend anyone). Smile
