Does anyone know if there is something like a BT Stick with a built-in driver logic, turning a normal printer with a USB connector into a "BT Printer" ?
I have a rather good printer, which I would not dump just in order to buy a BT printer.
But it would be a good idea to turn this - and if needed also temporarily the printer at work into a "BT printer".
Grateful for any hints or URLs. |

If this is an HP printer that supports PictBridge, check out the BT500 USB dongle.

I've used this to enable printing from Bluetooth enabled handheld computers like the Motorola(Symbol) MC9090 along with PrinterCE software from Field Software Products. Of course, a PC already enabled for Bluetooth (and its Bluetooth drivers installed) should be able to take advantage of the BT500 if the PC has printer driver installed for your printer.
The BT500 can ALSO be used on the PC as a Bluetooth dongle...
Good luck getting a comprehensive list of ALL the HP printers that will work with the BT500. I'm pretty sure that the BT500 is backwards compatible with the BT450 and (maybe) the BT400 and BT300. |
