Photos and first specifications of unknown Windows Mobile phone has just leaked... and it looks like it will be the first HTC-made phone with 640x480 (VGA) display and small enough to fit in your pocket!

Read somewhere that this device would be equipped with a 200mhz cpu. Finally a perfect form factor Pocket PC with a number pad and small size and leave it to HTC to f' it up with an archaic processor, especially with a larger screen resolution!
I hope they are wrong and this will at least have a 400mhz cpu. |

And where is the style?
Seriously, I'm starting to get a bit fed up of seeing incredibly stylish and attractive new handsets like the LG Prada, Samsung Armani, Apple iPhone etc being released, while HTC continues to churn out bland, entirely functional and soulless designs.
How hard can it be to incorporate a really good looking Windows Mobile handset? The last one that came close in the style stakes was, in my opinion, the STRTRK, but that phone was appallingly light on features.
Come on HTC - give us something stylish to show off to our mates! |

HTC Touch is quite stylish! But generally you have good point out there... and I will try to ask HTC people next time I will see them. |

I think the phone you're looking for is the i-mate 8150, a good form factor with a VGA screen and number pad. Plus, as a bonus the screen is touch-sensitive |

Yes I'm waiting to see the 8150, have high hopes for it. Too bad they made it bigger than initially announced but size of the device may still be decent, hopefully it will come out soon. Hope to see more WM6 touch screen devices with phone pads instead of side qwerty keyboards. It surprises me how popular they are! My first device was a K-Jam, I hardly ever used the keypad, found it to be too slow. QWERTY with two thumbs in the long sideways fashion just doesn't cut it. |

Actually, you're right - the Touch is a step in the right direction, but it's not really enough, especially when you consider that the Touch is very limited in terms of its feature set (no hard keyboard, no 3G radio etc). It seems that HTC's ethos allows for style or features, but very little crossover between them.
There has been a good deal of speculation that the handset featured in this article is in fact the HTC Juno, shown here:
When I first saw that rendering of the Juno, I was genuinely excited - along with speculated specifications suggesting 3G radio, TouchFLO etc, I thought that this was a handset I could definitely get to like considering its high style factor.
Now that I've seen pictures of the actual model (if indeed this is the Juno - the button layout and thumb-board of the HTC model directly match most of the features of the Juno rendering), I'm disappointed to see another bland offering by HTC. |
