Who cares about these apps, windows mobile has better contact management than the iPhone, you don't need to launch the contacts app to access your contacts, just type the name on the phone pad and a filtered list will show up, you can drill to the contact's details from there.

It should be Microsoft doing these changes, Windows Mobile seems to be suffering from neglect like IE did for years.

1. WM 6 is an OS and a platform for 3rd party developers to build app on top of it. What is most important is WM6 to provide a robust set of APIs and tools so that developers can build rich apps.

2. MS has been criticised and sued and fined heavily in the past for building and bundling apps onto their OS. I think these days they would be very careful of what goes into their OS and what is to be left out.

pretty good app but a bit weird why they have to use their own dictionary even though my handheld already has all the words i regularly use, and every time i type a word that's not in the dictionary, a stupid dialog always pops up asking me if i want to add the word. also when using the app to look for contacts it waits until you enter the word before searching for the contact.
