Now when Apple iPhone touts full web browsing - with page overview, zooming and full AJAX support - it would make sense for Microsoft to speed up development of Deepfish Internet browser, that also features page ove...

Somebody copied and pasted this entire article into the comments section on the deepfish site (scroll to the bottom). We'll see if anybody that matters has to say about it but I doubt it.

Would make sense if Microsoft spent time developing the OS and just licenced Opera.

I've seen rumours of the future interfaces of Windows Mobile and they look awful. They've lost the plot?

you know what, anything without support for multi-touch will not impress me - I just hope that next Pocket Internet Explorer will enable full web browsing - with page overview and full AJAX support - the UI itself is not so important but of course finger based UI would be nice...

I agree totally, Nokia have already announced they will be releasing a multi touch device in 2008 with full web browsing.

Series 60 touch will help raise the stakes, will mean Apple and Nokia both have slick interfaces with finger operation.

I've had Windows Smartphones for a while and recently decided it was time for a change, bought a Nokia 6110 Navigator. It's a very nice phone, very quick and starts up and shuts down in seconds not minutes. Feels good to have a device which is well designed and assembled (better than HTC). It even feels like the OS and the handset are one unit.

It's going to take a lot of hard graft from Microsoft to lure me back to the smartphone platfrom.
