Dell is breaking with old tradition of not making Tablet PC notebooks! Now everything is possible: also smartphones from Dell!

Dell Latitude XT is not on sale yet but it will be one of the smallest Tablet PC ...

Another example of technology for the sake of it.

It's a form factor that simply has no use, the battery life is useless and so can't be used by a supervisor in a factory or a nurse in a hospital for a whole working day.

Tablet PCs, UMPCs are all gadgets for playing about with, they're not mass market devices with a killer application.

regarding short battery life remark : well, I know tablet PCs that can get 4 hours on standard battery and 8 hours when you use extra strong battery plus battery pack instead of DVD drive!

I sincerely doubt the ergonomics of carrying around a tablet PC with dual batteries instead of a simple notepad or large PDA.
