corrected! (I've forgotten "." in URL)

please note that as far as I know the ROM upgrade itself fixes the key-lock issue so this additional patch for key-lock is not necessary but the patch for camera may be useful!

thank you very much for turning my attention to this issue!

Great...so this is probably the old GSM patch that was made available about a month ago, I hoped it would be a more recent one.

it is absolutely not an old GSM/3G patch!!! I was told by ETEN that it was created this week!

i guess Eten policy is to lie! the gsm/3g patch has been around since 11/21/1997, that' 16 days!
here is the gsm patch posted on 11/21/97!

then why ETEN claims that X800 has 3.6 Mbit/s HSDPA?

Anyway I will be checking this issue yet so stay tuned!

PostPosted: Sat Feb 16, 2008 7:25 pm    Post subject: X800 not making phone calls Reply with quote

Hi, I got an ETEN X800 in Jan 08; I use ATT and got a new 3G SIM card specifically for use with this phone (I checked the new card in my old phone and it works fine). However, I have been unable to make phone calls with my X800.

To be more specific, my X800 is version 402 ROM. The phone shows the "Cingular" network -- strong signal like 5 bars, but when I dial a number and try to call, the phone just makes a "Beep, Beep" sound. Very irritating. I tried resetting the phone, taking out the SIM card and re-inserting; taking out the battery and reinserting, etc. -- no benefit. Crying or Very sad

Finally I tried installing the ROM and 3G upgrade from this website here, even though my phone claimed to be version 402 already. Well, interesting: after the upgrade, my phone actually worked -- for about 2 hours. It is now doing the "Beep, Beep" thing again whenever I try to make a call. Initially I thought it might have dysfunctioned due to me using the camera... I tried resetting the phone, using the task manager to close all programs, etc., but to no avail. Crying or Very sad

Help anybody? Thanks in advance. Confused Crying or Very sad Wink
